Getting Started without Changing your Business Model
A Registered Apprenticeship should be an extension of your current business model. Having an apprenticeship program at your company can become a valuable asset to retain and replenish your talent pipeline. Apprenticeships are an “earn and learn” training opportunity which allows businesses to attract a new talent pool, gain skilled employees, reduce turnover costs, increase productivity and create a more diverse workforce. Our Industry Intermediary is ready to help you take advantage of the benefits awaiting you.

Once you express interest in a Registered Apprenticeship to help fulfill your workforce demands, Fastport will work with you to explore how apprenticeships will work within your business model.
-
With our assistance, you will submit your minimum requirements for hire, minimum wage progression and other work processes (e.g. probationary periods). Employers will have access to our provided template and modify it based on your company’s needs.
-
After you finalize your requirements and become an Apprenticeship Employer Partner participating in the National Standard set by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) for your Registered Apprenticeship occupation(s), your program can be recognized by the DOL.
-
Once your program is registered, you will receive your Welcome Packet. The packet includes information on apprenticeship funding opportunities and the monthly housing allowance (MHA) as well as details on how to track, and report your candidate hires through completing form ETA 671.
